Located in Santa Croce Sull'Arno, CTC Ars Tinctoria was founded in 2011 as a laboratory specialising in organic analytical research, colour and light. It provides an extensive range of services in several fields, including synthesis, analytical research and the study of the molecular structures of colourants, research into hazardous substances for both people and the environment, and colour measurement and standardisation.
Over the past two years, the laboratory has become one of the leading specialists in the quantification of radiocarbon in materials and chemicals, complementing its services with innovative new proposals for the quantification of sustainability parameters for the fashion sector.
CTC Ars Tinctoria is accredited in compliance with the UNI EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, implying a formal recognition of the laboratory's compliance with the system requirements for testing activities, and has the technical expertise to carry out accredited tests.
CTC Ars Tinctoria has complementary technical expertise to that of CTC, particularly in ZDHC (Zero Hazardous Discharge Substances) analysis or assessing a material’s bio-based carbon content.
The general management of CTC Ars Tinctoria is entrusted to Pierre Beaupoil. Gustavo Defeo is its Vice-President and Scientific Advisor.
