Inspired by these commitments, the professionals of the leather industry, gathered under the aegis of the Conseil National du Cuir, have decided to organise in Paris the first international “Sustainable Leather Forum”, dedicated to social responsibility in the leather production, footwear, leather goods and glove making professions.
The Sustainable Leather Forum aims to be a place for discussion, where experiences, innovation and progress in terms of tools, products and new technology for sustainable industrialisation will be presented and debated by companies, public bodies and institutions.
The goal of the Sustainable Leather Forum is twofold: demonstrate the best practices of the leather industries, notably French companies, combined with examples from other sectors, in the areas of employment and economic opportunities, and offer players in the fashion industry, political leaders and opinion makers the opportunity to reflect and identify solutions to encourage sustainable development in their area of activity.
