GB Standard : What s NEW about Footwear and Leather goods in CHINA?
11-June-2018 : GB/T 3294-2018 implemented on June 7th 2018 and will be taken into effect on Jan.1st 2019, supersedes the old version GB/T 3294-1998. The 2018 version made modifications to the application scope and testing method of size.

EN 407 standard April 2018 revision (standard heat and fire protection gloves)
Standard EN 407 'Protective gloves against thermal risks (heat and/or fire)' was published in 2004 and is still used today. It confers presumption of conformity to the essential requirements of Council Directive 89/686/EEC, which regulated the marketing of personal protective equipment (PPE) and was repealed by Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on 21 April 2018.

PPE: New 2016/425 regulation
In March 2016, the new 2016/425 regulation on Personal and Protective Equipment was voted by the European Parliament. This document repeals Council Directive 89/686/EEC.
